Located in the safest harbour in Portugal, in the wide estuary of the River Arade, it covers an area of 25 hectares, bounded by the fortresses of Santa Catarina and São João, and by magnificent support facilities. Portimão Marina’s deep water means that vessels can enter and leave during any tide; the entrance is wide and there are spacious areas for manoeuvring that are sheltered from the predominant winds.
