25th Portimão Photo Race

The 25th Portimão Photographic Race is an initiative of the Municipality of Portimão, organized by the Museum of Portimão, integrated in the 17th Anniversary of the Museum through which, this year, it is intended to celebrate and remember the spirit of the 1st Photographic Race, started in 2001.

That year, from the facilities of the old Feu Hermanos canning factory, before its transformation into a museum, the 95 registered photographers would set out to record the 24 themes of that 1st Race, during a period of 24 hours, between 8:00 pm on the 23rd and 8:00 pm on March 24, 2001.

In this sense, the 25th Photographic Race proposes for 2025, a race model inspired by its 1st edition of 2001: 

Theme: “CELEBRATE 25 RACES”

Based on this historical relationship, this will be totally a face-to-face race in the Municipality of Portimão, with 2 types of Modalities:

Modality 1- 24-HOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC RACE (CFP 24)

Registration of 24 themes to be photographed, between 8:00 p.m. on Friday May 16 and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday May 17, 2025.

Modality 2- 12-HOUR PHOTOGRAPHIC RACE (CFP 12)

Registration of 12 subjects to be photographed, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 17, 2025.
