Large and Small Workshops – Families at the Municipal Library

The Large and Small Ateliers are back at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Municipal Library from 4:00 pm on October 12, for the session ‘Flying from tale to tale’, dedicated to families and to be promoted by Joana Charneco.

In this session, which does not require prior registration, the books will come to life in a surprising way, transporting children and their families through stories that make them fly without leaving their place, in which each page opens to a new world, where imagination and art meet.

In this way, the facilitator proposes to children from 4 to 10 years old, accompanied by their parents, an unforgettable journey through unique books, which reveal the power of stories in a playful and interactive way.

Until the end of the year there will still be a session on November 20 (4:00 pm) under the theme “Kamishibai – Paper Theater”, in which Joana Charneco will use this traditional Japanese way of telling stories.

Using paper illustrations, displayed in a small wooden theatre called ‘butai’, the dynamizer will create an engaging experience that stimulates imagination and helps children better understand the story.

According to Joana, “each tale is an opportunity to travel to new worlds, learn valuable lessons, and strengthen the bonds that unite us.” Author of the page “Toca do Conto” on social networks, where she shares her passion and inspires others to discover the transformative power of stories, the facilitator wants to transmit to the little viewers “the magic, inspiration and emotion, allowing everyone to fly without leaving their place”.
