International Children’s Book Day celebrated at the Library
March 5
Free
In the context of the International Children’s Book Day, which is celebrated on April 2nd, the Municipal Library of Portimão hosts on the 5th, a Literary Concert with Richard Towers.
The literary concert is an artistic achievement that includes reading, music, choreographies, riddles, interaction and lots of fun. It is a journey in which children travel through the world of imagination, through curiosity (which is natural in them) and visual and auditory stimuli, which flow into an explosive energy, in which everyone participates fully. With a set and an electric guitar, we build a puzzle, sing, dance, jump and laugh. Children discover the contributions of personalities to the history of humanity and a new way of looking at books and reading. It’s a huge celebration
The work Guru Rock is the name of the central character of the collection “The Adventures of Guru Rock and his Band”. In an environment that immediately refers to music, Guru Rock and his friends live adventures that lead them to meet the most diverse personalities in World History. The author, Richard Towers, will make this Literary Concert a fully artistic experience.
