34th Praia da Rocha Sea Race

The city of Portimão will once again host one of the most emblematic open water swimming competitions in the Algarve – the 34th Praia da Rocha Sea Race, which will take place on August 2nd, in the iconic Praia da Rocha Sports Area.

Organized by Portinado – Portimão Swimming Association, this event is part of the 31st Open Water Circuit – Algarve 2025, promoted by ANAlgarve – Algarve Swimming Association. The main objective of the event is to promote swimming, with a special focus on the Open Water discipline, contributing to its appreciation and growth, both regionally and nationally.

The competition is open to athletes of various age groups and levels of experience, and is structured in the following categories:

This sporting event represents an excellent opportunity for athletes, clubs and lovers of open water swimming to come together in an environment of healthy competitiveness, sharing and overcoming, reinforcing the role of the Algarve as a destination of excellence for outdoor sports, being a race integrated in the 31st Algarve Open Water Circuit.
