Piano concert with João Barreto at CMTG

Jazz pianist, performer and composer, João Francisco Soares Barreto has been involved in several classical music and jazz projects.
Currently 19 years old, he is already awarded nationally and internationally in competitions such as Coimbra, Seia, Orbetello (Italy), Santa Cecília (Porto), among others. He began his studies at the age of 3, having studied with Teresa Brandão, Jefferson Mello in Portimão and at C.M.S.M. (Porto) with Professor Álvaro Teixeira Lopes. In the area of jazz he was guided by Pablo Lapidusas and currently by João Paulo Esteves da Silva. He is currently attending a degree in music in Aveiro under the guidance of Álvaro Teixeira Lopes. In jazz, he already has projects recorded with the support of Antena 2.
The pianist performs regularly as a concert performer, composer and in a jazz trio, with Duarte Júlio and João Silva, in Portugal and abroad, developing a fusion between jazz, classical music and Portuguese music. He attends a degree in music at the University of Aveiro under the guidance of Professor Álvaro Teixeira Lopes. In jazz, he has occasional private lessons with teacher and pianist João Paulo Esteves da Silva.
