Algarve Cycling Tour 2026

The Volta ao Algarve em Bicicleta returns in 2026 for its 52nd edition, and Portimão once again takes a prominent role in the race. On February 19, the Portimão Riverside Area will be the starting point of a decisive stage, bound for Fóia, in the Serra de Monchique, in what will be the first high finish of the competition.

Recognized as one of the most prestigious races on the international calendar, the Volta ao Algarve brings together the best cyclists and teams in the world, with emphasis on the already confirmed presence of UAE Team Emirates-XRG, the best team in the world in 2025.

With free admission, this is an unmissable opportunity to watch the start of a demanding stage up close, in a unique environment by the river, celebrating high-level cycling and the international projection of the Algarve territory.
