On June 1st, World Children’s Day, at 6:00 pm, the Barlavento Ensemble will perform in concert at the Museum of Portimão.
The Barlavento Ensemble (String Orchestra) offers us in this concert a journey through the universe of the most lyrical and emblematic works of the classical and romantic period. Directed by Cristóvão Silva, in the first part of the concert we will have the lightness and fun of the Mozartian spirit with his work Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.The second part will be completely dedicated to the world of opera, Viennese waltzes and dances of popular inspiration (Rossini, Bizet, Johann Strauss and Brahms).
The Barlavento Ensemble Association (ABE) develops its cultural action in the Algarve region, allowing music students from the region’s specialized music education to develop their instrumental, technical and performative skills in this rubbed string orchestra.
