“The Secret Life of Trees and the Sea” is a project by Sónia Pereira, who has already collaborated in the area of Libraries with renowned figures of Portuguese literature and culture in recitals and gatherings.

She is co-founder of the interdisciplinary reading promotion and mediation group “Experiment’arte”, highlighting the projects “Letras ao Sul” (in which she collaborates with Eunice Muñoz, João Grosso, Ângela Pinto, Maria do Céu Guerra, Tozé Brito, etc.), “Na senda das pedras falars” (both coordinated by the Dir. Reg. of Culture of the Algarve). Also noteworthy is the participation in the show “O Sul de José Afonso” with the musicians João Afonso, Luís Galrito and the Devil’s Boat and the release of the cd “Poesia 21: 21 poemas sobre o século XXI”, among other projects of his creation or multidisciplinary that he has been integrating with some relevance in the regional panorama.

There will be 8 sessions, on the first Thursday of each month, starting on the 2nd of November.

The concept comes from various literary works, moving on to a later contact with the royal natural heritage. The aim of this proposal is also to train readers who are aware of sustainability.
Literary meeting focused on the debate of scientific, literary and poetry books, as well as documentaries on the extraordinary theme of  trees and the sea.  This project will culminate in the construction of a scientific-poetic path.
