From the 3rd to the 7th of August, the aroma of grilled sardines once again invades the riverside area of ​​Portimão, at the 26th edition of the Sardine Festival.

Portimão celebrates, once again, its main gastronomic icon and entertainment will be a constant in the riverside area, between the Portimão museum and the area between bridges, with handicrafts, sweets, street entertainment and various sounds, in a climate that will be of party and ally, as tradition dictates, to the aroma of traditional sardines that promises to whet the appetite of all visitors.

One of the most emblematic gastronomic festivals in the country, whose first edition dates back to 1985, and elected best summer gastronomic event in Europe, will also be preceded, on August 2, by a historical reconstruction of the discharge of fish in the riverside area of ​​the city.
