The narrator, storyteller and mediator Cristina Taquelim brings Reading Mediation workshops to the Municipal Library of Portimão.
Cristina Taquelim (Lagos, 1964) – She is a reading mediator and storyteller. She has a degree in Educational Psychology and a postgraduate degree in Documentary Sciences. The Library of Beja was for thirty years the house where he grew professionally, seeking utopias and guided by good masters. Today she continues to work in processes of cultural mediation and human development, involving literature, oral narration, oral heritage and is dedicated to narrative performance from the cultural collective Chão Nosso CRL.
He has published in Portugal and Brazil since 2008: “Malaquias” (2008); “In my house we are seven” (2009); “A House on the Moon” (2011); “Corrupio” (2013); “Avó de Coração” (2019) and “Teodora e o Mistério dos Cachapins” (2021), are some of her titles.
Because her head is full of questions and is almost always dazzled by life, she refuses to live without being amazed to exist. Life taught him the deeper meaning of the poet’s verse: “Only those who liberate are free”.

They are minimal stories, so tiny that sometimes it is fun to listen and repeat, listen and repeat, so that even small, they stay in the ear

These sessions are made of little, where the words of oral tradition and the mastery of the storyteller summon silence and laughter, listening and amazement to this place. From my accountant’s mouth to your listeners’ ears.

July 5 – 4:00 p.m. – Stories that do not remind the devil
There are stories like this … Stories that mess up the chest and unsettle the emotions. Restless stories that leave us on notice of what life offers us without warning. There are stories that had everything to work out. Others not so much. There are stories that barely begin and we already know where they will end. There are lasting stories and others so brief that they end even before they begin. Stories that do not remind the devil! Oral Narration and Reading Aloud Show.
