Pro Skate League Portimão

Portimão once again asserts itself as a reference stage in the national skateboarding scene by hosting, as is tradition, the inaugural stage of the national ranking in the disciplines of Street and Park in 2025. This moment officially marks the competitive opening of the new equipment dedicated to the practice of the sport, located in Parque da Juventude, a space that reinforces the municipality’s commitment to youth and urban sport.

The event kicks off with the Pro Skate League (LPS), an international standard competition that ensures the sporting and technical relevance necessary for the evolution of the sport in Portugal. From this competitive core, the event unfolds into several social, recreational and cultural initiatives, with the aim of promoting skateboarding in a transversal way.

The Pro Skate League is the structuring axis of the entire national strategy for the sport, having been created with the mission of organizing and homologating national and international competitions. All stages of this league contribute to the attribution of points and positioning in the ranking, and are also selective stages with a view to the integration of athletes in the National Team, with firm ambitions of representation in the next Olympic Games.

The competition will bring together the best national and international athletes in Portimão, in a show of high technical and sporting level. At the same time, educational and community actions will be promoted, with emphasis on a training project in schools in the municipality, reinforcing the role of skateboarding as a tool for inclusion, personal development and cultural expression.

With free access, this event represents a unique opportunity for the public to watch up close the talent, technique and creativity of the main names in Portuguese skateboarding, in an urban, dynamic and energetic environment.
