Painting Exhibition “Draft” at CMTG

“Draft” is an interpretation of the deepest thoughts and torments of the mind, which turn into scribbles, words written in an incomprehensible way, on the paper support. They work as an outburst, which is later crumpled and forgotten. Since a draft is by definition a sketch prior to the definitive form, these thoughts are interpreted as only a point of view or something passing and not a final fact or truth. 

This set of works uses the lines — both those of the lined sheet and those of the writing itself — as a means of presenting the idea, continuing a line of thought present in some of the works of the exhibition “Entre.linhas”, on display between 2022 and 2023 at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes

Rita de Azevedo Coutinho Cosma, is a visual artist with a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Algarve starting out in the artistic environment, having held a solo painting exhibition, “Entre.linhas”, at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes between December 2022 and January 2023.
