Music that was left in the drawer, with Orquestra do Algarve (Alvor)
April 6

It may be hard to believe, but the truth is that in 2019 the Scherzo for string sextet was heard for the first time, a work that the British Gustav Holst wrote in 1897, but which remained in his drawer all his life, and forgotten in archives since then. It is a composition of youth, which will receive its premiere in Portugal by our musicians, and which precedes one of the main compositions for this formation, the grandiose first sextet of Brahms.
