“Move(mente)!” at the Municipal Library of Portimão

March 16

Free

In the context of the Youth March, the Portimão Municipal Library will host on March 16, from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm, the activity “Move(mente)-se!”

On this date, Andreia Machado, a young psychologist in training, will promote some fitness activities, yoga, lectures and debates with clinical psychologists, as well as moments of reflection and meditation.

In a digital age where Mental Health is increasingly a priority, it is important to learn and develop strategies to promote and protect it.

Young people who want to know tools and strategies that can help them manage their daily problems should come together, in order to freely express their thoughts, opinions and feelings, increasing their level of self-discovery and self-knowledge.

Born in Portimão, Andreia Machado is fascinated by the study of the human mind and behavior, which is why she graduated in Clinical and Health Psychology, also having an Advanced Specialization in 3rd Generation Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies, deepening practices such as Mindfulness and its impact on reducing stress and anxiety. There have been several collaborations with the European Commission in countries such as the Czech Republic, Italy and Turkey, in projects on sport, sustainability and mental health.

After finishing her studies, she returned to Portimão motivated by the close contact with nature, which she believes is one of the assets of the region, geographically located near the Sea and Mountains.
