“Mothers can also dream”, work will be presented at the Library

Tânia Gonçalves was born in 1988, in Portimão, and grew up surrounded by the Algarve sea and sun. With a degree in Nursing, she would later fulfill her dream of graduating in Medicine. Married and mother of a wonderful girl, it is in the family that she finds inspiration to continue dreaming.
Passionate about books since always, it was with the birth of her daughter that she truly immersed herself in the universe of children’s literature, being fascinated by the ability that children’s stories also have to touch the hearts of adults. In the same year that she fulfilled her dream of becoming a doctor, she also fulfilled her desire to publish her first children’s book – an invitation to never stop dreaming.
Defender of an egalitarian society based on love and empathy, she believes that children, due to the natural way they live these values, are the greatest agents of change, so she feels that we must put the best of ourselves in them.
“Mothers can dream too”
On a quiet night before bed, little Teresa asks her mother an unexpected question: “What is your dream?”. The answer intrigues her and begins a touching discovery about the forgotten desires of adults. Over the days, Teresa realizes how fatigue and lack of time rob her mother of the possibility of dreaming and decides to act.
“Mothers Can Dream Too” is a tender and inspiring story about love, empathy, and the power of family sharing. A reminder that with support and unity, everyone, even the busiest, can once again believe in their dreams.
