To mark the beginning of 2025, the Municipality of Portimão continues the cycle “Educating for a Better Future” that is taking place throughout the present school year, promoting at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Municipal Library, two sessions in January aimed at the school community, including parents, children, teachers and specialized technicians.

January 11
“YOU WILL BE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE”From
4 pm to 5 pm
Speaker: Susana Proença – psychologist
This session is aimed at parents and their children
Objective: To promote the exploration of interests/professions and stimulate children’s imagination through the reading and exploration of a book To promote self-knowledge, self-esteem and respect for
othersThe action will have a practical component, where exploration
activities will be carried out
January 15
“LET ME GROW – OVERPROTECTION OR AUTONOMY”From
5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Speakers: Marta Inácio and Clara Freitas – GASMI Psychologists
This session is aimed at parents/guardians, teachers and specialized
techniciansObjective: To reflect on the importance of autonomy in the child’s development process, Intervention strategies.
