Contemporary Tapestry Exhibition “Colors of the Mountain”
Eunice Ferreira created Nixa Fiber Art – A new life project.
In 2020, the confinement caused by the pandemic provided him with the discovery of contemporary wall tapestry, which allows him to combine the artisanal techniques he already knew with more recent ones, resulting in the creation of decorative objects in which he freely applies threads and cords of different fibers, ribbons, beads, shells, wood, colors and textures.
As a source of inspiration, the wonderful Serra de Monchique, where he lived for about 30 years. His landscapes, the water, the wild mushrooms, the forest in all its splendor (even when it is reborn after fires) are present in most of his works.
