March 8 - April 8
Free
The V International Painting Symposium will close with a performative action of collective painting, on Saturday, March 8, starting at 2:30 pm, which will be followed by the inauguration of the exhibition of the works resulting from the six days of the event, at 4:30 pm, in the foyer of the Museum.
Under the sign of “Sustainable Landscapes”, the event will be attended by painters Martin Ševčovič, from Slovakia, María Valdés, from Spain, Solongo Tseekhuu, from Mongolia, Luka Radojevic, from Montenegro, Krzysztof Molenda, from Poland, Sarah Miulescu, from Romania, as well as the Portuguese Veloso and Gonçalo Condeixa.
Over six days of artistic and contemporary research on the theme “Sustainable landscapes”, the participants showed the process of creating pictorial images, in an open studio format, and, at the same time, interacted with the population, who were encouraged to visit this International Symposium. It was an opportunity for dialogue, between painters, but also between them and the community, especially with the youngest, generating moments of contact with the ideas and concerns of the authors.
The International Symposium is produced by the Cuneo Sularte Cultural Association, curated by Arlindo Arez, with co-production by Paulo Quaresma, in partnership with the Museum of Portimão and with the institutional support of the Municipality of Portimão.
