Exhibition of Painting and Sculpture Perspectives by Ana Nobre. Art

Ana Nobre explores, in sculpture, the reuse of materials, giving new life and meaning to the “waste of others” and, in painting, I use an Expressionist/Abstract style, to portray natural landscapes contrasting with mass tourism. These two approaches are interconnected with each other, one resulting from the other, now transformed into a living language, loaded with color, movement and emotion.

Born in 1979, in Lisbon.

She graduated in 2005 in Fine Arts/Painting, at ESAD, Caldas da Rainha, and finished the Professional Course in Graphic Design at ETIC_Algarve in 2019.

She currently develops ateliers and workshops in fine arts and painting.

In 2014 he moved to the Algarve, Lagoa, where he has further explored his art and participated in several artistic projects, such as mural and electricity box paintings.

Developed the ReciclArte project, in partnership with C.M. Lagoa, which consists of books of plastic expression using the reuse of recyclable materials.

In 2020 he released the fantasy book “The Place of Strange Things”, by Emporium Editora.

She was part of the Contemporary Art Curator Magazine, the MUSA International Art Space “WeContemporary” catalogue, the Art book “100 Artists of the Future” published in 2019 by Contemporary Art Curator.

Received several Art awards such as: International Art Prize Giotto, Lisbon; International Art Prize Botticelli, Florence, Italy; 3rd Prize of the Painting and Drawing Competition, Chess (Organization of the Alto do Minho Chess Club); 3rd Prize of the Padre João Maia Painting and Drawing Contest 2011, (Organization of the Municipality of Vila de Rei); 3rd Prize of the contest “Painting the City of Ponte de Sôr”, (Organized by the Ponte de Sôr City Council).

He has held several collective and individual drawing and painting exhibitions, nationally and internationally, some of which: at Palazzo Velli, Rome; at the Rossocinabro Gallery, Rome; at the Parallax Art Fair in Kensington; at the Manuel Teixeira Gomes House, Portimão; at the Manuela Vale Gallery, Lagoa; at the João Bailote Gallery, Albufeira; at the Artur Bual Gallery, Amadora; at the Jaime Lobo e Silva House of Culture, Ericeira; at the House of the Counts of Alcoutim, at the Vila do Bispo Cultural Centre, at the Algarve Art Gallery, at the Pintor Samora Barros Art Gallery, Albufeira, at the André Pilarte House, Tavira, at the Exhibition Centre, Odivelas, at the Ribamar Palace, Algés, at the Casa Mantero Municipal Gallery, Sintra, at the Potthoff Gallery, Lisbon, at “Café e Companhia”, in S. Tomé and Príncipe, among others.
